The beauty of modern cosmetic dentistry is that so much is possible. Whether you simply want to add some sparkle to your selfies with a brighter, whiter smile, or feel it’s time to deal with missing or crooked teeth, there are plenty of options available – as long as you allow enough time.
Depending on which teeth whitening procedure you choose, you can enjoy results very quickly. Our in-chair Philips Zoom teeth whitening option takes as little as four 15 minute visits to achieve long lasting results, unlike many other teeth whitening alternatives that can take weeks or months. This is thanks to the innovative WhiteSpeed lamp, which accelerates the process and provides you with great results – up to six shades whiter.
For those who have more time available and prefer the privacy of their own home, Philips Zoom at home whitening is a safe and effective treatment that gets predictable results. It does, however, take longer to complete. While visible improvement to the colour of your teeth may be achieved after as little as three days, it generally takes up to two weeks to get the desired result.
With proper care, you can then expect your teeth to maintain their new colour for six months to a year.
The time needed to achieve a perfect smile with treatments such as Cfast Cosmetic Tooth Alignment or Smile TRU orthodontic treatment can vary from patient to patient – but luckily modern dental technology means it is far easier to accurately predict how long will be needed.
Smile TRU is a series of clear aligners that are designed to fit over your teeth and gently guide them into the correct position, which makes them a great alternative to conventional braces for most people. They are ideally suited to improving the appearance of the front teeth and treatment typically lasts around six months.
Cfast adult braces use clear orthodontic brackets and tooth-colored nickel-titanium wires for discreet teeth straightening. The treatment works much like that using clear aligners, however tooth movement is much more predictable and is often faster.
The nickel-titanium wires put gentle pressure on the brackets to level and align the teeth with minimal discomfort to the patient.
Dental implants comprise of small titanium rods that are placed into the jawbone. The replacement tooth/teeth are then attached to this rod using a screw fit or other locking mechanism, making the replacement permanent. Implants can be used to support a single tooth or several, depending on the requirements and help to not only replace the missing tooth, but also restore strength to the jaw, helping to prevent further issues from developing.
Thanks to modern technology and techniques, dental implants treatment can be completed in as little three months, although it may take longer in some cases.
The good news is that once the replacement teeth are fully fitted, and provided they are properly cared for, you will never have to worry about your missing teeth again.
