Closure of Oakmount Dental

Dear Patients,

From 28th October 2022 Oakmount Dental Practice will be closing.

Despite attempts to come to an agreement with the landlord of the building over the last year we have been unable to come to an amicable solution and the landlord has given us a notice to vacate the building. I have attempted to change this situation until the last moment but to no avail and there are no commercial buildings available in the locality which we can move to at the moment.

This does not mean though you will be without dental care. Fortunately, I have another practice (as some of you may already know) located in Altrincham town centre. I would be more than delighted to invite you to attend Regent Dental Centre for your dental care. Regent Dental is only a 20 minute drive from Didsbury, approximately 10 miles in distance and easily accessible by Metrolink and bus services.

You will still see the familiar faces that you recognise from Oakmount as they will be transferring from Didsbury to Altrincham. We will still have access to your historical dental history and x-rays and you will still be seen by Dr Jain.

If you are a plan patient this will transfer seamlessly, as a pay as you go private patient you will still have access to the high quality dental care you have been used to.

For children we will transfer you to our child only NHS contract, if you wish to attend.

Practicing in one locality will allow me to provide more clinical time when I will be able to treat routine and emergency dental issues. I will be available throughout the week to attend to your dental needs. Also, the hygienist is available on more days than is possible at the moment.

I realise that change can be difficult, but we hope to make the transition as smooth as possible for you.

If you do intend to transfer and are on a dental plan, please contact us and we can assist you.

If you intend to stay in the locality, please advise the practice, we maybe able to find you alternative dental care.

It has been a pleasure to be able to provide your dental care over the past seven years and I hope to continue to do so in Altrincham.
